This is not the first time an actor or crew has been seriously injured while filming. In fact, many fatal incidents occurred behind the scenes by the actors and crew. Some of them even perform death-defying stunts by using dangerous props until they end in misfortune. The following is a series of terrible tragedies that have occurred behind the scenes of Hollywood films .

1. Brandon Lee was shot dead on the set of The Crow in 1994
The son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee, lost his life at the age of 28 while he was shooting for the film The Crow (1994). In the scene, her character is set to walk towards her apartment and search for her fiancé who was attacked before an intruder fires a gun at her.

The weapon used at the time was a revolver from the original Smith & Wesson and had been loaded with mock bullets made by imitating real bullets. However, while filming the scene, a bullet came out of the revolver used by another actor and shot Brandon Lee in the stomach.

This happens because the fake ammunition is only emptied by the gunpowder, but still leaves the projectile of the bullet attached to the ammunition, thus triggering a small explosion and pushing the bullet out of the rifle. Brandon Lee was rushed to hospital, but died after six hours of surgery.

2. The camera assistant was hit by a train on the set of Midnight Rider in 2014
Sarah Jones, who was a camera assistant, died while filming for the film Midnight Rider (2014), while seven other crew members were seriously injured after escaping.

At that time, the crew was setting up on the train tracks. Midnight Rider director Randall Miller has been told that there are two trains crossing the tracks every day. After the two trains passed, the crew returned to setting up on the tracks. An unexpected incident occurred, a third train appeared and made the crew run for safety.

Unfortunately, Sarah Jones, who did not have time to save herself, died because she was struck by a train. Meanwhile, Randall Miller was found guilty by the court of the murder of Sarah Jones, and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

3. Stuntwoman Joi ‘SJ’ Harris died on the spot while riding a motorcycle on the set of Deadpool 2
Joi ‘SJ’ Harris had to lose his life when he became a stuntwoman for the first time in Deadpool 2 (2018). At that time, he replaced the role of Domino, played by Zazie Beetz.

During filming, Harris, who is a former racer, lost control of the motorbike he was driving until he crashed into a glass window in Shaw Tower, located in Vancouver, Canada. This incident was made worse by Harris not wearing a helmet, because it was said that Domino was not wearing a helmet in the scene. His death left a deep wound for the crew and cast.

4. One of the crew members died while filming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in 2017
Ricardo Cornelius, who was a member of the crew for the film Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2017), had to die on the set where he worked after an unprotected car slid and hit him.
