Unpleasant treatment
The AFF Cup 2020 presents an experience that Elkan Baggott will probably never forget . Throughout the tournament, Elkan Baggott encountered many obstacles in defending the Indonesian national team.

Elkan Baggott had missed one match for the Indonesian national team because he had to undergo a five-day self-quarantine period. The reason is that Elkan Baggott is known to be in the same plane with a passenger who has been confirmed positive for COVID-19.

Elkan Baggott also had to miss the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final against Thailand. Elkan was banned from appearing with Victor Igbonefo, Rizky Dwi, and Rizky Ridho because they were claimed to have violated the bubble rules applied during the tournament.

6 Kali Runner-up
The defeat in the 2020 AFF Cup final was the sixth failure in history. The Indonesian national team is now the team that has failed the most in the final of the tournament.

The Indonesian national team was runner-up in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2016, and 2020. This means that since the tournament was held in 1966, the Red and White squad have never won.

As for Thailand, the 2020 AFF Cup title is the sixth time after 1996, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, and 2020. This achievement makes Thailand the most successful team in the AFF Cup.
