Drama! Two Goals in Injury Time, Madrid Vs Man City Continue Extra Time


Madrid – Real Madrid created drama in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City. When almost eliminated, Los Blancos took a 2-1 lead and forced the duel to go into extra time.

Madrid vs Man City this time took place at the Santiago Bernabeu, Thursday (5/5/2022) early morning WIB. Pep Guardiola’s team came with a capital victory 4-3 in the first leg.

Los Blancos immediately appeared to press and produce opportunities in the third minute. Karim Benzema managed to gore the ball in the middle of the penalty box, but the direction was not yet on the goal.

ManCity did not want to play waiting despite having an aggregate advantage. The English club appeared very aggressive, which made Madrid’s players commit several offenses to stop the attack.

Karim Benzema wasted another chance in the 11th minute. His shot ball in the penalty box is still aiming at the goal.

Bernardo Silva got a golden opportunity in the 20th minute. From very close range, he fired and Thibaut Courtois was able to secure Madrid’s goal.

Man City led 1-0 in the 73rd minute. Bernardo Silva calmly dribbled closer to the penalty area and instead of shooting he went straight to the right. Riyad Mahrez was there to finish it off.

Madrid need to find two goals to offset the aggregate. On the other hand, Man City did not relax the pressure despite winning 5-3 on aggregate.

Jack Grealish messed up Madrid’s defense in the 87th minute. He then fired a shot, but the ball was still cleared with Courtois’ feet.

Madrid knit hope in the 90th minute. Rodrygo scored to equalize the score to 1-1 after grabbing Benzema’s cross.

Los Blancos only needed a minute to score the second goal and lead 2-1. Rodrygo again tore the Man City goal, this time with a header to make it 5-5 on aggregate and the game went to 2×15 minutes added.
