W Korea released an interview article with Doyoung. The main vocalist of the NCT 127 sub-unit talked about various things, ranging from his busy life, the challenges he faced while working, to his hopes for the future.

1. The Lady in Dignity (2017)

The Lady in Dignity tells the story of Woo Ah Jin (Kim Hee Sun) who initially lives in luxury with the wealth of Ahn Tae Dong (Kim Yong Geon), his father-in-law. She then slumped after her husband cheated on her and her family’s financial condition deteriorated. The downturn was influenced by the presence of Park Bok Ja (Kim Sun Ah), a nurse who is married to Ahn Tae Dong.

Doyoung stated that he recommended this drama to his mother. He is motivated and gets many life lessons from the character Woo Ah Jin.

2. Misty (2018)

Drama Misty is played by many senior actors and actresses. Call it Ji Jin Hee, Kim Nam Joo, Jeon Hye Jin, Ko Jun, and so on. No doubt, the stories presented are about adult problems.

Kim Nam Joo plays the character Go Hye Ran, a famous news anchor who suddenly becomes a murder suspect. Ji Jin Hee plays Kang Tae Wook, Go Hye Ran’s husband and a lawyer who handles his wife’s case. Even though it was a disaster, this actually became a thaw in the cold relationship between Hye Ran and her husband.

3. Be Melodramatic (2019)

Next, Doyoung recommended the drama that his brother, Gong Myung, played in, namely Be Melodramatic . This is a comedic romance that highlights the lives of three women in their 30s

There is Chun Woo Hee who plays a drama script writer named Lim Jin Joo. Jeon Yeo Been plays Lee Eun Jung, a documentary director who lost her lover. There is also Han Ji Eun who is a single mother as well as the head of the marketing team at a production house .

4. When the Camellia Blooms (2019)

The drama When the Camellia Blooms managed to make Doyoung shed tears. Precisely in the last scene, when Dong Baek (Gong Hyo Jin) meets his mother.

In this drama, Dong Baek is portrayed as a single mother of one child who opens a bar in a small town. Then, there is a policeman named Hwang Yong Sik (Kang Ha Neul) who is transferred to the small town and falls in love with the woman.

5. Mine (2021)

The Makjang Mine series did not go unnoticed by Doyoung. This drama presents the story of two women from different backgrounds who marry the descendants of a conglomerate.

Jung Seo Hyun (Kim Seo Hyung) who also comes from a conglomerate family is married to the first son of Hyowon Group. Meanwhile, Hyowon Group’s youngest son is married to Seo Hi Soo (Lee Bo Young), a former famous actress who then focuses on taking care of her husband and children.

6. Search WWW (2019)

Search WWW highlights the lives of three empowered women who work for a web portal company. The three are Bae Ta Mi (Lim Soo Jung), Cha Hyun (Lee Da Hee), and Song Ga Kyung (Jeon Hye Jin).

Because they work in large companies, they are involved in very competitive competition. In addition, Search WWW also shows the struggle of career women to balance work life with love.

7. Crash Landing on You (2019–2020)

Although Crash Landing on You has ended in early 2020, Doyoung admitted that he only watched it in 2022, exactly a month before the wedding of the two main characters, Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, was held on March 31.

Crash Landing on You itself tells the story of Yoon Se Ri (Son Ye Jin), a South Korean businessman who has an accident while paragliding. The accident landed him in North Korea. He also meets soldiers from that country and begins to have a complicated love affair.

In the midst of his busy activities, Doyoung still took time to rest while enjoying the spectacle. Even though it’s relaxing and seems a waste of time, watching dramas and movies can be both motivational and a medium of learning, as revealed by Doyoung after watching The Lady in Dignity .
