After a long legal process full of scandals, Héctor Parra was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison for corruption of minors. According to a press release released by the lawyer for Alexa Parra (victim) through social networks, the judge’s decision is an “advance in the search for justice” for her client and recognition for all the work they have done during the last two years. However, there is still the possibility for the actor to appeal the decision.

“We know that this sentence is not an end point, and that there is still a long way to go to achieve comprehensive reparation for the damage and the revictimization of Alexa’s life (…) We urge the corresponding authorities to guarantee effective compliance of the sentence and to provide the necessary protection measures to safeguard the physical and emotional integrity of Alexa and her family,” read the statement issued by the attorney Olivia Rubio.

The sentence divided opinions on social networks, since since Alexa Parra Hoffman publicly denounced her father as her aggressor, a marked polarity was perceived among Internet users. For this reason, in recent hours all the interviews that those involved gave to various media outlets have gone viral, including a talk that the mother of Daniela Parra had with First hand in 2021.

And it is that Erika Martínez witnessed the close relationship that existed between her ex-partner, her daughter and Alexa Parra Hoffman until the abuse was reported.

“He always came with Alexa to pick up Daniela. There was a time when they lived together and the three of them were always together. That is why I was very surprised when this lady came out to say this a few years ago. I even told Daniela: ‘What is she saying? I don’t understand.’ She also stared at me and said: “I don’t know mom” and she never answered her sister again, never, “she said.

Erika Martínez said that she separated from Héctor Parra by mutual decision and, although she supposedly did not contribute to the expenses of her daughter in common, she never sought to change the perception that Daniela had of her father: “I never poisoned my daughter against her father, there are people who do it and what a shame, not me.”

But that was not all, Erika also questioned Ginny Hoffman (mother of the victim) for not reporting Héctor Parra since she found out about the attacks:

If I had the slightest suspicion, I would not be discussing it here, I would have been in court for many years (…) I tell you honestly that as a mother I would not have put up with it for a second, I would have immediately denounced whoever had abused of my daughter in any way.

“If she knew that her daughter had been abused and that they were not going to do anything until she was 18 years old. How is it possible that you find out as a mother that someone is doing something wrong with your daughter and you say: ‘I am going to stay and wait until she is 18 years old so that she reconsiders,’ ”she added.

Finally, she said that many years ago Daniela Parra received psychological help for academic reasons and in no session did she mention any type of abuse or aggression by anyone, whether committed against her or against someone else.

“Daniela failed fifth grade, so we had to take her to the psychologist and that was the first treatment; It was two years of psychologist. I believe that at some point during the treatment some abuse would have come out from whoever it was, however, no, I have the results of the psychologist, ”she declared.
