Crystal Palace Vs Tottenham: 10 Spurs Players Lose 0-3


London -Tottenham Hotspur accepted their first defeat in the Premier League this season. Come to Crystal Palace , Spurs gave up with a landslide score of 0-3.
In the match at Selhurst Park, Saturday (11/9/2021) evening WIB, Tottenham played with 10 men from the start of the second half.


This defeat has temporarily not shifted Tottenham’s position at the top of the standings with nine points from four matches. Crystal Palace are in 11th place after collecting five points.

The course of the match

Good move from Lucas Moura. In the fourth minute, Moura passed four Palace players and then sprinted into the middle of the opposing field. Unfortunately, Moura could not go any further after the ball in his possession was cleared.

Five minutes later, Gallagher lost the ball in the final third and Spurs burst into the box. Moura found an opening to shoot but instead passed to Dele Alli. James Ward managed to sneak in to break the attack.

Palace created the best chances so far. In the 34th minute, Wilfried Zaha stabbed in from the left flank before firing low. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris did not react, but the ball hit the Tottenham players first before narrowly widening the side.

Ahead of the break, Crystal Palace put Tottenham under pressure. Gallagher twice threatened the Spurs goal. First, Gallagher’s shot flew over the bar, then his shot from close range was cleared by Lloris.

The score remained 0-0 until the break of the game.

The match is more lively after the restart. Lucas Moura found the gap before shooting from the edge of the box. However, the ball was too close to Guaita to be easily saved.

Counterattack from Palace in the 50th minute. The ball fell in Gallagher’s path in the middle of the box to be volleyed into goal. The ball hit Sergio Reguilon, then bounced to Rodon who did the blocking.

Chaos ensued after Japhet Tanganga deliberately blocked Zaha’s pace. The players from both sides then pushed each other before the situation could be controlled.

Unfortunately for Tottenham, Tanganga then received his second yellow card (red card) after lunging at Jordan Ayew. The match is now 11 vs 10.

Good defense from Dele Alli. In the 66th minute, Palace could have scored after Ayew had stood in a good position in the Tottenham penalty box. However, Ayew’s shot was blocked by Alli just in time.

Reguilon saves Totenham In the 73rd minute, Mitchell combed the left flank to send a pull bait into the penalty box. The ball bounced past Lloris’s marker, but Reguilon kept the ball in the net with a header.

Penalty for Crystal Palace ! The referee pointed to the spot after Ben Davies did a hand ball. Zaha stepped forward as the executioner then sent Lloris in the wrong direction. Palace lead 1-0 over Tottenham in the 76th minute.

Palace’s lead increased eight minutes later. Zaha accelerated on the right wing then stabbed into the penalty box while releasing a pull bait to Edouard. The last named player finishes with a kick to the bottom corner of the goal to make it 2-0.

A ball from behind received by Olise on the right wing. His partnership with Gallagher was completed by Edouard with a shot from the middle of the box which Lloris couldn’t hold.
