Arsenal star Martin Odegaard joked that Erling Haaland should move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer after photos emerged of the Norwegian striker wearing the Gunners jersey as a child.
The Borussia Dortmund striker is already at the center of the transfer frenzy heading into the upcoming window. Chelsea have long been linked with the 21-year-old, while Manchester City are said to have agreed a salary amount.
An old photo of Haaland wearing Arsenal ‘s yellow jersey from the 2010/2011 season as a child has caused a stir on social media. His Norwegian team-mate Odegaard gave his opinion on the striker’s prospects of arriving at the Emirates Stadium.
“If he comes to England, he has to come to Arsenal , of course, but I don’t know what he will do, but he is a great guy,” Martin Odegaard told Stadium Astro .

Odegaard’s recent comments are not the first hint he has dropped on his Norwegian team-mate’s future. Speaking earlier this year, he also teased him joining Real Madrid.
So yes we talked about it but it was nothing special,” he said.
Haaland has more than two years left to run on his contract with Borussia Dortmund and looks set to leave on a discounted fee this summer. According to Bild , his £63m release clause will be active this summer but interested clubs will reportedly have to show their desire to sign him before 30 April.
Martin Odegaard, Arsenal midfielder who was famous since the age of 16 years
15 years old is still considered a teenager who can’t do anything. Much different from the fate of Martin Odegaard.
At that time, the boy who was only 15 years old had received a call from the senior Norwegian national football team. Even more miraculously, Odegaard at the age of 16 years, has been bought by one of the giant clubs in Europe, namely Real Madrid.
When he was 15 years and 253 days old, Odegaard admitted that he was surprised when he received a call to the senior national team. Because it’s like a dream come true. Whereas previously, Odegaard had only defended the Norwegian U-17 national team twice.
The left-footed attacking midfielder has indeed impressed for his club, Strømsgodset, that season. Odegaard has appeared 14 times and managed to score 3 goals and 3 assists. Then the news about a 15-year-old boy who has entered the national team has caught the world’s attention.
This then made him a prima donna for many big European clubs, ranging from; Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Real Madrid. However, it was El-Real who gave him a breath of fresh air with the promise of joining the Madrid first team.
Finally in January 2015, the new young man who was then 16 years old managed to make a noise in the world of football after he joined Real Madrid, with a dowry of around 4 million euros.
However, a bit of a sad answer actually came from Ancelotti, the Madrid coach at that time. He said that Odegaard is a way for Real Madrid to reach the Norwegian market.
Even Ancelotti never asked the club to sign him. The statement of the President of Real Madrid at the time, who said that he would play 3 matches with the first team as an interest for the club’s public relations only.
What Ancelotti said was also proven because Odegaard during his time at Madrid was mostly a loan player. Despite his status as a loan player several times, Odegaard has also found a comfortable point and finally officially moved to Arsenal.
This is because playing at Real Madrid is not only a footballer full of talent, but also must have extraordinary performance. It is clear that one thing that the 22-year-old player hopes is to continue to be consistent so that he can show his best performance.
