Tottenham Hotspur is in a negative trend in the 2022/2023 Premier League. The Lilywhites lost in the north London derby last weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur were humiliated by Arsenal with a score of 0-2 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in Week 20 of the Premier League.
This poor result is quite worrying. Antonio Conte’s side have suffered their fifth defeat in 10 matches in all competitions.
According to reports, the Italian tactician is now under pressure. Fans and club officials urged Conte to immediately improve the team’s performance.
If the owner of Tottenham Hotspur, Daniel Levy decides to make a change of coach, there are several tacticians who can replace Antonio Conte’s position. Anyone?
1. Mauricio Pochettino
Mauricio Pochettino has proven in England. He managed to bring Tottenham to challenge for the Premier League title and also qualify for the Champions League final.
Currently Pochettino is not tied to any club. He was sacked from Paris Saint-Germain last season despite their success in winning the Ligue 1 title.
Pochettino is likely to be welcomed by Spurs supporters. Pochettino is considered to be a good option as a replacement for Antonio Conte at their club.
2. Thomas Tuchel
Thomas Tuchel left Chelsea in September 2022. He was fired following the poor performance shown by the Blues at that time.
Since being sacked by Chelsea, Tuchel is indeed looking for a new club. He has been linked with a number of top European clubs and even the England national team.
Throughout his career, Tuchel was one of the most accomplished coaches. The man from Germany won titles while managing Chelsea, PSG and Borussia Dortmund.
3. Joachim Loew
Joachim Loew has had impressive achievements in handling the German national team. He managed to help his country win the 2014 World Cup and the 2017 Confederations Cup.
After leading Germany for 17 years, Loew finally decided to step down from his post in 2020. Since then, Loew has not been bound by a contract with any club.
Previously, Loew also had coaching experience at club level. He has coached a number of clubs such as Stuttgart, Fenerbahce, Tirol Innsbruck and Austria Wien.
4. Luis Enrique
Luis Enrique failed to lead the Spanish national team to go far at the 2022 World Cup. As a result, he decided to resign from his post.
Enrique is ready to turn a new leaf after his journey with the Matador team ends. Enrique wants to return to coaching the club.
Previously, Enrique had been brilliant when coaching Barcelona. He won the treble winners in the 2014/2015 season.
