Betrayal is something that is often found in anime series. Usually, it is used to give the audience an unexpected plot twist . In fact, it is not uncommon for creators to make their characters betray those closest to them, to give a bigger surprise.

Starting from Itachi Uchiha ( Naruto ) to Isabella ( The Promised Neverland ), this time the author has summarized five anime characters who have the heart to betray their own family. Curious who the characters are and what is the reason for each of them doing such actions?

Just take a look at the following reviews, come on!

Itachi Uchiha (Naruto) : Although in the first Naruto series, Itachi Uchiha was rarely shown, Sasuke’s older brother became one of the most famous characters for his betrayal of his own clan. Before joining Akatsuki, Itachi massacred the Uchiha clan, including his parents. His younger brother, Sasuke Uchiha, was the sole survivor of the massacre.

At first Itachi admitted that he did this just to test his abilities. However, after he was defeated by Sasuke, it was revealed that Itachi actually had no other choice. Itachi carried out the massacre because at that time their father, Fugaku Uchiha, was planning a coup against Konoha.

If left unchecked, it could trigger a civil war between the Uchiha clan and Konoha. Therefore, Itachi massacred his clan to protect Konoha. By doing this, Itachi was also able to at least save Sasuke.

Shou Tucker (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) : Shou Tucker is not only known as the most hated anime character, however, he is also known as the worst father ever in anime. How not, to maintain his position as a State Alchemist, Shou made his daughter and pet dog as experimental material.

Worse yet, his daughter and pet dog are not Shou’s first victims. Previously, Shou had also done the same thing to his wife. After Shou’s case spread, Shou immediately got his karma, where he ended up tragically at the hands of Scar.

All For One (My Hero Academia) : Known as the Symbol of Evil, originally All For One was just an ordinary person. However, everything changed after he was thirsty for power. All For One begins to turn into a terrible villain and he is ready to get rid of anyone who gets in his way, including his own brother, Yoichi Shigaraki.

All For One didn’t just lock up Yoichi. However, he also used his Quirk on Yoichi to make him submit. Instead of succeeding, it actually makes Yoichi get the only Quirk that can defeat All For One, namely One For All.

Satsuki Kiryuin (Kill La Kill) : Satsuki Kiryuin is the older brother of Ryuko Matoi and the son of Ragyo Kiryuin. At first, Satsuki was introduced as the antagonist in this series. However, towards the end of the series, Satsuki teamed up with her sister to defeat their mother.

It’s actually not surprising that Satsuki betrayed her mother. The reason is, so far Ragyo has not treated Satsuki as his son, but only as an experimental material. Therefore, when he had the opportunity, Satsuki immediately betrayed his mother by stabbing her in the back.
