After Winning Race 1 WSBK Mandalika, Alvaro Bautista Wants to Wipe Another Win?

Alvaro Bautista has always won in the four races that have taken place at WSBK 2023.

The fourth victory was won when the Aruba.it Racing Ducati racer finished first in Race 1 WSBK Mandalika on Saturday (04/03/2023).

The second and third positions in Race 1 of the WSBK Mandalika were Toprak Razgatlioglu and Andrea Locatelli. Alvaro Bautista now has perfect points in the standings, namely 87.

Now the 38-year-old racer has a chance to add to the coffers of victory. Because Sunday (05/03/2023), there are still two races that will be held at the Mandalika WSBK.

Not Thinking Clean Sweep Victory
Regarding the chance of a clean sweep of victory at the Mandalika WSBK, Alvaro Bautista emphasized that he didn’t think too much about it.

“I have absolutely no expectations for Sunday’s race. The most important thing for me is to keep feeling positive,” said Bautista.

Alvaro Bautista is self-aware because the WSBK Mandalika race is very difficult for him. Especially the unpredictable weather factor.

Win Race 1
Alvaro Bautista won Race 1 WSBK Mandalika with a difference of 4.809 seconds from second place, Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Even though it seemed that the gap was quite large, the former MotoGP racer made sure he didn’t win easily. Because Toprak had led the way the race.

“It’s not easy to overtake Toprak. But I can control the course of the race. After that I can appear fast,” said Bautista.

“The feeling of the bike is very good, so are the tires,” he added.
