Dillian Whyte demands a rematch against Tyson Fury. He did not accept the defeat suffered by the British boxer and accused Tyson Fury of illegal acts.

In the battle at Wembley Stadium, Saturday (23/4/2022) or early Sunday, Dillian Whyte lost by TKO. He gave up in the sixth of the planned 12 rounds.

However, Dillian Whyte thinks Tyson Fury cheated. According to him, the boxer with the nickname The Gypsy King pushed him after landing a landslide uppercut during the sixth round with one second remaining.

The blow sent Dillian Whyte down and staggered as he tried to get up.

This forced referee Mark Lyson to stop the match so that Fury was declared victorious by TKO in the duel between the British boxers.

“I was stopped but it was clear that I was trying to recover consciousness and he pushed me down and hit my head on the canvas. This is illegal,” Whyte told Sky Sports as quoted by Reuters on Tuesday (26/4/2022).

“This is not wrestling, this is boxing. I should have been given extra time to recover and then continue the fight. I was caught, no doubt about it… what a bad referee leadership there.”

Despite Whyte’s accusations, Tyson Fury has proven his capacity as the best boxer in the heavyweight division.

Now, he has a record of 32 wins (23 KO/TKO) and is undefeated from a total of 33 fights.

After the victory, Fury admitted that he wanted to retire in order to keep his promise to his wife, Paris Fury. This makes Whyte speak for Fury to undo the intention.

“He said he would retire. I hope he doesn’t retire because I want to fight again,” said the 34-year-old boxer.

Indeed, before the match against Whyte, Tyson Fury had given this indication. Paris Fury confirmed that after her husband beat Whyte.

For Paris Fury, the only thing that can bring her husband back into the boxing ring is a unification fight in pursuit of undisputed world champion status.
