Although León’s death has not been confirmed, his sister, the Cuban journalist Mari Rodriguez Ichasoindicated that this occurred due to “a massive heart attack”.

“Today is the most horrible day of my life. My beloved brother Leon Ichaso died today. i’m broken”, indicated the journalist.

As indicated by the Cuban, the director “he was happy and very happy to have beaten a cancer after 2 years in a successful clinical study of a new medicine at UCLA”.

In the same way, none of the relatives provided details of the funeral honors that he will receive.
