This is the Mexican version of the multi-Emmy Award-winning cultural and television phenomenon, led by RuPaul. In this competition, contestants face off in design, comedy, dance and lip sync challenges as they seek to take the crown and the coveted title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar”, but now in Mexico.

This project was announced in mid-2022, with the social networks of the World of Wonder production company announcing the casting, with an audition deadline. In the middle of its production, it was confirmed that Valentina and Lolita Banana will host the reality show. Regarding its release date, it was finally confirmed that Drag Race México will premiere on June 22.

According to the official statement, Drag Race México can be seen through the streaming service Paramount +, the MTV network and WOW Presents Plus. A new episode will be released per week, which will be at 9:00 p.m. in Mexico, 10:00 p.m. in Colombia, 11:00 p.m. in Chile, and 12:00 a.m. in Argentina.
