The creator of the HBO Max series The White Lotus has revealed very interesting information about what they are preparing.
Although it premiered with little noise in the summer of 2021, The White Lotus series has been gaining a large legion of fans and that is why they have managed to get it renewed for a third season. Now, the creator of the program, Mike White, has revealed the first details of everything they are preparing.
“It would be easy to be a full anthology, but I think it’s more fun to have little threads throughout the show. If the show lasts a couple of seasons, it would be fun to have a stellar season.”
The first season of the show was set in Hawaii, while the second season moved to Italy. Now, we know that in the third season the protagonists of The White Lotus will be in Thailand. But this time, it may not start with a dead body.
“I don’t think it always has to be a body. There are so many ways that we want to reinvent the show each year. What is this show, other than people? A new mystery, people maybe expect that. But I don’t feel constrained by expectations. It’s fun”.
They are looking for a new theme for season 3.
If the first one was about money and the second one was about sex, Mike White says the next one could lean towards religion.
“The first season highlighted money. And then the second season is sex. I think the third season would be maybe a kind of funny satirical look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality. And it looks like it could be a rich tapestry for another round at The White Lotus.”
The series shows us a group of people who enjoy their vacations in a tourist center and the cast includes F. Murray Abraham, Jennifer Coolidge, Adam DiMarco, Meghann Fahy, Beatrice Grannò, Jon Gries, Tom Hollander, Sabrina Impacciatore, Aubrey Plaza, Michael Imperioli and Theo James.
