Actor Seann William Scott, who plays Stifler in the saga, reveals what’s in the works for American Pie 5.
In 1999, the first installment of the franchise was released, which was an immediate success, especially thanks to its hooligan humor and its charismatic cast. Over time they have made more installments, although there are some where the main characters do not appear. But now, American Pie 5 is in the works, and actor Seann William Scott has revealed to CB that there’s a great idea behind it that’s so good it’ll work even in these difficult comic times.
“I don’t know, I love the character so much. We have to have a great idea, and especially these days, it has to be amazing. You know, comedy is tough, and they’ve always been tough, but comedies have really changed. But I think, honestly, we’ve been talking about an idea. I had one and I still have one that we literally just started talking about recently.”
“It would be a lot of fun to watch, I think, fun, but also really fascinating to see a guy like Stifler in his mid-40s today trying to figure things out. A guy who hasn’t really changed that much, but the world has changed, you know, what would life be like for him… Is there a fun ending to a story? I don’t know if it will ever happen.”
Hopefully they make American Pie 5 and can reunite the original cast.

As Seann William Scott explains very well, right now is a good time for more light-hearted and slightly naughty comedy. In addition, it is always a pleasure to see these actors together, since separately they have not had the expected success. So American Pie 5 could be a good opportunity for Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Natasha Lyonne, Chris Owen, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, and Eddie Kaye Thomas. Without forgetting that the characters they represent will now have to face the problems their parents had when they themselves were teenagers.
