
The procedure to repatriate money from an account in Swisslinked to the ex-adviser Fujimori Vladimir Montesinoscame to an end according to information from the Judiciary.

The entity achieved, through the Asset Forfeiture Subsystem, that the amount of US$8,488,910, belonging to the employer Moshe Rostchild Chassinreturn to the Peruvian State together with the interest generated to date: with them, the sum could amount to US$ 10 million.
The Israeli Rostchild Chassin was accused of the overpriced purchase of 36 MIG-29 and Sukhoi-25 combat aircraft from Belarus, along with Monrtesinos. This arose between 1996 and 1998 during the ex-president’s now administration Alberto Fujimori.

To finalize the repatriation of the money, the Swiss Confederation previously admitted the request for judicial assistance presented by the Specialized Court for Asset Forfeiture of Lima.
This instance has territorial jurisdiction in the judicial districts of LimeSouth Lima, Cañete and Ica and is presided over by magistrate Eduardo Torres Vera.
Subsequently, the Swiss body issued the corresponding official letter that highlights the end of the execution of the asset forfeiture sentence against the Israeli businessman (CH-303 Berne, FOJ/BJ-00414438/ P007); that is, the Peruvian State already has the necessary authorization to repatriate the respective account.

This action is considered a judicial precedent, for the Asset Forfeiture Subsystem, because these assets are recover without a criminal sentencea judgment of responsibility, because Moshe Rothschild does not weigh a sentence, but appears as an absent defendant.
Currently, the foreign citizen is investigated by the Peruvian justice system. The proceedings take place due to the illegal commissions he received for acquisitions by the Armed Forces (FF.AA.) and the National Police (PNP), among them, 36 combat planes for the Peruvian Air Force (18 MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-25).

On March 30, the then Minister of Justice and Human Rights (Minjusdh), José Tello, held a meeting with the Swiss ambassador in Peru, Paul Garnier. The meeting was held to discuss the repatriation of Vladimiro Montesinos’ asset deal.
The tripartite agreement not only includes the mentioned countries, but also Luxembourg. Said pact pursues the correct transfer of the confiscated assets from, due to various acts of corruption, the ex-Fujimorista adviser.
In the session, Tello Alfaro also detailed “the progress of the projects within the Minjusdh” promoted by said agreement, among them, fighting corruption, organized crime and strengthening the rule of law.

According to the statement, they also “highlighted the importance of the implementation” of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights (PNA) 2021-2025 “which has been taking place in a decentralized manner in the country.”
