Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised Trent Alexander-Arnold after the victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, Thursday (17/3/2022).
The Reds are now one point adrift of ManchesterCity in the title race. Victory over Arsenal thanks to goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
After the game, Klopp gave credit to the creative right-back, as his defensive ability left Arsenal striker Gabriel Martinelli to death.
“Obviously both teams have a good defence. Trent Alexander-Arnold did really well against Gabriel Martinelli,” Klopp told Sky Sports .
Klopp will ‘knock down’ anyone who calls Alexander-Arnold unstoppable.
“If anyone had told me Trent couldn’t hold on I would have knocked them out. I don’t know what the boy was going to do anymore,” he said.

Alexander-Arnold starred in the Reds’ 2-0 win over Arsenal on Wednesday, which left them a point adrift of Manchester City at the top of the table.
But while the player’s attacking prowess has never been questioned, pundits have sometimes criticized his work at the back with thoughts that irritated Klopp.
