LIFESTYLE Editorial TeK-pop girl group aespa is scheduled to attend the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development next week. The news was delivered by the agency that oversees AESPA, SM Entertainment, Friday (1/7/2022).

According to the Korea Times, the four-member group will attend the opening session of the forum, which will be held at the UN headquarters in New York on the morning of July 5 (local time).

In addition, member countries will also discuss ways to accelerate SDGs goals.

This will be the first offline meeting since 2019, as the United Nations High-Level Political Forums on Sustainable Development in 2020 and 2021 are held online.

According to SM Entertainment, the aespa members will be giving a speech with the theme “Next Generation to the Next Level”. The group, fronted by Winter, Giselle, Karina and Ningning, will perform their hit song, “Next Level.”

This is not the first time a K-pop group has been invited to speak at an important UN meeting. Previously, K-pop legend BTS had also given a speech at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
