Many deaths are inevitable in the Naruto series . Both the protagonist and the antagonist many have died because of the great battle. Part of the protagonist’s death is sad. The deaths of characters close to Naruto are both tragic and sad for fans of this series. Not infrequently, there are those who claim to cry when watching the character breathe his last in the Naruto series . This emotional closeness makes Naruto a favorite of many people.

10. Shikaku Nara and Inoichi Yamanaka

Shikamaru and Ino’s father had an important role in the Fourth Shinobi War. Shikaku is a genius who is trusted to lead the shinobi alliance army. Inoichi mastered his clan’s secret technique and used it to communicate telepathically with the alliance troops.

Combining their abilities, the two men became a threat to Madara. Madara was determined to kill the two because he believed that their departure would be a big loss for the alliance’s efforts. Realizing that death was imminent, the two left touching messages to their children. They advise how to live life and remind them how much they are loved.

9. Zabuza and Haku

Heavy antagonists who first appeared in Naruto, Zabusa and Haku set the standard for what is expected of a villain. Although they were both talented and rugged shinobi, both had a level of complexity that made them interesting. Born and raised in Kirigakure’s brutal practices, this team rarely explores the bonds they forge.

Instead, they worked tirelessly and killed their enemies. However, after meeting Team 7, Zabuza and Haku realized that there was still life to be lived instead of shedding blood. In the final moments before his death, Zabuza understands the importance of Haku.

8. Gaara

Gara is an important character in the Naruto universe who is experiencing good character development. He turned into a mad criminal into a respected village head (kades). However, fans became sad after the Kazekage was captured and died at the hands of Akatsuki.

He was captured by Deidara and his Bijuu was extracted. This resulted in his death. It became emotional because Gaara had just turned a new leaf in his life and became a caring person who believed in Naruto. Seeing him die so quickly had a profound impact on Naruto fans .

7. Hiruzen Sarutobi

The third Hokage and leader of Konoha when Naruto began, Hiruzen was shown to be a wise and caring ninja with legendary powers. Hizuren’s role was difficult and he sometimes had to make difficult decisions in the best interests of the village.

When Orochimaru’s plan to destroy Konoha began, Hiruzen encountered the legendary Sannin. He realized that the battle would be fatal because of his age. This is true. Hiruzen sacrificed his life to ensure that nothing could be done to harm the village he had protected for so long.

6. Asuma Sarutobi

Asuma is a capable shinobi who is also a heavy smoker. During this series, Asuma was seen helping and caring for his team consisting of Shikamaru, Ino and Choji. Even though it was a tough job, Asuma managed to make his students show their best.

5. Kakashi Hatake

Without a doubt, Kakashi is the most likable character in this series. No doubt, his death also made the audience shed their tears. This shinobi bravely fought against Pain to protect Konoha. In fact, he knew that the leader of Akatsuki had killed the legendary Sannin, Jiraiya.

However, the Sharingan master refused to give up without fighting. He suppressed the criminal and earned a confession. The saddest moment here is when Naruto returns to Konoha and finds out that Kakashi’s chakra is missing. Being informed of Kakashi’s sacrifice, Naruto was greatly affected. However, he could not mourn the death of his teacher because Pain was standing before him.

4. Neji Hyuga

Neji underwent an extraordinary transformation just like Gaara. He begins his journey as an arrogant gifted boy burdened by his clan’s role. He then learned from Naruto so he could see his destiny.

Thanks to this revelation, Neji promises to work hard, become stronger and protect the people he cares about. And, he really did. He died protecting Hinata and Naruto, two people who taught him a lot.

3. Itachi Uchiha

Itachi Uchiha story arc is the best character story arc in Naruto. At first, this Sharingan master looks cold, heartless and a very strong shinobi. He killed his clan just because he could. Moreover, he kept his younger brother, Sasuke, alive and made him remember his parents’ death through genjutsu.

Naruto fans were waiting for Sasuke’s moment to kill his brother and avenge his clan. And, he did. However, Sasuke (and fans) eventually found out that Itachi killed his clan to protect his village. Sasuke was forever hurt by his own actions.

2. Obito Uchiha

Fans of the series have a hard time defining Obito’s legacy. Is he a twisted villain or a manipulated antihero? However, at the end of Naruto, Obito won the hearts of the audience with his self-sacrificing act. Used as bait by Madara, the former shinobi committed many crimes, he killed people without a second thought.

But, when given the opportunity to make amends, Obito took it. He saved Kakashi and gave Team 7 a chance to save the world. Following his goodbye to Kakashi, Obito was reunited with Rin. He also found peace for the first time.

1. Jiraiya

The lewd sage of a world-class writer and legendary shinobi. Jiraiya liked everyone. This Sannin is Naruto’s teacher and eventually turns into a father figure for his student. He guides Naruto through his complicated life while making him stronger in the process. Jiraiya was very selfless. He raises orphans, protects Konoha from shadows, and trains Naruto despite the threats he may pose.

Jiraiya died while fighting Pain. However, he managed to get information about the villain that contributed to Pain’s defeat. While dying, Jiraiya reflected on his life. He believed he had contributed little to the world before placing his trust in Naruto, the chosen one. If it weren’t for Jiraiya, the shinobi world might not exist anymore.
