Many male protagonists in anime appear with irritable, strong and silly characters. They also often don’t think before they act. However, there are also other characters who consider everything before acting.

Characters like Goku or Naruto are scattered in anime. Hot-headed characters like them do provide their own entertainment. However, there are times when it also makes people shake their heads with their less intelligent behavior.

Even so, there are many genius and tactical male characters. They can figure out how to deal with whatever challenges come their way. As a teenager, he earned a reputation for helping police departments and coming face to face with secret organizations that seemed to operate around the world. He can still have an active social life.

In the guild, he became the team’s strategist. The role he took initially was not one that could work as it should, but as an advisor to other fighters. He could accurately predict what most of the opponents would do in the next few seconds. Shiroe also defeated one of the most dangerous ambush bosses in the game. This leaves dozens of players finding ways to defeat any enemies that are never completed in more dangerous environments.

8. Light Yagami — Death Note

Light Yagami is one of the brightest protagonists in anime history. Having the Death Note, he spends most of the series pursuing his dream. Even when he was finally “caught,” he managed to escape. This makes him believe that he is not Kira and will lead a normal life. The only thing stopping him is that his partner is trying to betray him and his greatest enemy is as intelligent as he is.

As Zero, the leader of the Black Rebellion, Lelouch Lamperouge displayed instant success as a tactician. Yes, he does have the power of Geass. However, this had nothing to do with how he was constantly able to beat the people around him. Lelouch did show his weakness once, which led to him being dragged before his father, Emperor Charles. However, he managed to make amends. In the end, Lelouch’s intelligence was enough to defeat the world and he succeeded in achieving the goal he had to do.

Yang Wen-Li is a history-loving strategist who prefers to spend his days doing nothing. Due to his fondness for studying history, he is also an accomplished tactician. While many people knew the tactics of operating on earth, Yang Wen-Li served on many ships in space. He faced a galactic army that was stronger than his for a century. Yang’s ability to lead people in battle and win was the reason why the Planet Liberation Alliance managed to take control of the Galactic Empire’s Iserlohn Fortress.

4. Senku Ishigami — Dr. Stone

Senku Ishigami is a character that makes no sense literally. The goal is to build a rocket to take to space. This requires a very specific field of study that already exists and is a time-consuming program. But, Senku doesn’t just know rocket engines. He could rebuild Stone Age society from ruins with nothing but knowledge in his head. That means he knows a number of different types of science, from agriculture to weaponry. He could also bring humans to a level close to where they were thousands of years ago in just a few years.

3. Child Emperor — One-Punch Man

The Child Emperor’s strength was his intelligence. He’s smarter than almost everyone else in the series. This was enough to make him an S rank hero even though he was just a child. He even makes his own costumes that he can wear to fight the various monsters in the series.

Sosuke Aizen has a plan. Even though executing the plan cost him decades of fooling everyone, he came close to making it happen. Aizen is able to kill every member of Central 46 and leave Soul Society for the Hollow World. He was already planning to become the leader of the Arrancar. He even attained immortality. In the end, he was still alive after being defeated by Ichigo, meaning, he was still a threat going forward.

He managed to reach Captain level in just a few weeks. Though ultimately defeated by Aizen, Ichigo Kurosaki is only one of his many plans that have worked.
