Not even a minute later, Masin Mount made a kick from outside the penalty box but was able to be closed well by Jonny Howson. The Blues, nicknamed Chelsea, took the lead when Romelu Lukaku welcomed a sweet pass as Mason Mount. His left foot shot in front of goal could not be blocked by Middlesbrough goalkeeper Joe Lumley in the 15th minute. Chelsea lead 1-0.

The goal was beautiful because it was built from the back line and went forward with great passes. After the 20th minute, the home game became more confident. They dared to duel and played the ball longer and even locked Chelsea for a few minutes. However, misery was experienced by the host. They conceded again for the second time in the 31st minute. This time it was Hakim Ziyech’s turn to write his name on the scoreboard. Mason Mount is back in attack with his assists . Four minutes later, Lukaku got a golden opportunity. He was able to outwit the opposing goalkeeper, but his last flick was thrown away by the opposing defender.

Towards the final minutes, Middlesbrough appeared more aggressive and held a lot of balls. However, their efforts were fruitless. Middlesbrough trailed 0-2 to Chelsea in the first half. Entering the second half, Chelsea appeared dominant with possession of the ball. While Middlesbrough played a quick counter-attack scheme. Middlesbrough’s quick counter-attack looked dangerous because there was a lot of open space. However, Chelsea can always anticipate it before the ball comes into the penalty box. Despite controlling the ball, Chelsea did not launch a single attack against Middlesbrough in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

There weren’t many chances in the second half. The ball is more often in the middle of the field. However, Middlesbrough started to trouble at the last minute. Edouard Mendy had to fall and throw the ball from the penalty box. However, no goals were scored until the end of the second half. Chelsea advanced to the FA Cup semifinals after a 2-0 win over Middlesbrough.
